Type A: Polyurethane Letters, Plaques, Signs Our Type A polyurethane is made of a catalyzed polyurethane formulated paint. All our mechanically sanded, filed, degreased and primed before applying this coating. They are guaranteed for five years against crazing, cracking, blistering or peeling. You may pick any color from our color chart or from the Pantone Color Formula Guide. Type B: Bright Satin Anodized Letters & Signs These metal letters and signs are mechanically sanded, filed and etched before being coated with an anodic oxide coating, available in clear or gold, to retard corrosion. For added protection, the finished product is further preserved with two coats of colorless chemicals. Type C: Natural Satin Letters & Signs This finish does not have the anodic oxide coating, otherwise identical to Type B. Type D: Mirror Polish Letters The metal surface of these letters is sanded by a mechanical process then polished to a mirror finish. They are top coated with two coats of colorless chemicals for protection from oxidation. A sandblasted texture is applied to letter returns. Type E: Satin Bronze Cast Bronze Letters & Plaques This cast bronze signage is chemically etched to a beautiful satin finish after being sanded and filed. They are top coated with two coats of colorless chemicals to protect from oxidation. Type F: Oxidized Bronze Cast Bronze Letters/Plaques This metal signage is sanded, filed and chemically etched before being oxidized to a dark statuary color. They are hand finished and top coated with two coats of colorless chemicals to protect from further oxidation. Type H: Anodic Letters & Signs These metal surfaces are mechanically sanded, filed and etched to a fine grained texture, then a duranodic color finish is applied. This anodic oxide coating retards corrosion and is available in four shades: light, medium, dark and black. They are top coated with two coats of colorless chemicals for added protection. While these metal finishes build up an extremely hard oxidized surface which is very resistant to weathering and abrasion, variations will exist in the color because of uncontrollable weathering and abrasion, variations will exist in the color because of uncontrollable alloy characteristics in the metal. As a result, Sign International does not guarantee the Type H Anodic finish. We also recommend that the Type A Polyurethane finish be applied to anodic finishes to assure color consistency and color match.
